The Golf Swing Plane

No doubt about it – geometry and golf go hand in hand. This is evident in the golf swing plane. The golf swing plane refers to the geometrical plane of the club and the ball when you draw the club back and swing. That plane is vitally important when it comes to striking and controlling the ball.

Golf swing plane is so important that there have been numerous courses and guides written about it. In fact, there is now even a plane sight laser that is used for golfers! These training aids are used by many golfers to improve their game. Many golfers, however, do not use a laser. Instead, they think of the swing plane as a piece of glass that runs from the ball to the shoulders. Some golfers have a problem seeing this in their imagination, however, and they need the help of a laser.

Many golfers have tried various different tools to improve their swing plane, including PVC pipe! Others video tape themselves golfing, from a rear angle. You can then freeze the frame, and use a ruler or pen to measure your plane. Placing one end of the pen on the ball, and the other on your shoulder, the club should come up in the air and be even with the pencil and the shoulder.

Again, many golfers have tried many different things to improve their swing plane, and many more don’t even realize that this is something that they should be thinking about or trying to improve! But when they do figure this out, they often find that a great deal of their golfing problems are automatically corrected – simply by improving the swing plane!

If you are a serious golfer, you may want to invest in the golf swing plane laser. You will find that by concentrating on improving your plane, you will be playing a better golf game in a short amount of time!
